The Cognitive System Laboratory at UCLA is directed by Professor Judea Pearl. The group conducts research in probabilistic, causal and counterfactual reasoning, and their applications in artificial Intelligence. Specific areas of focus are: Explainable systems, evidence integration, personalized decision making, social intelligence, consciousness, free will, and automated scientific explorations.
